“It’s not that difficult to draw a kiss,” Rohan says, waving his pen vaguely in the air. That he’d gone right back to drawing after sex didn’t surprise Koichi whatsoever; that he’d started talking about it without prompting, even less. “When I was still learning, I just had to draw a heart, put in a line of motion, and that was it. People make it more troublesome than it really is.”
Koichi squints at Rohan’s work, not yet willing to leave the warm bed to get a closer look. It’s made harder by the fact that Rohan has no sketch marks on his paper at all, but he can kind of see where the shape of people’s heads and the angle of their kissing resembles a heart. If he had to start from scratch, that would be good advice.
It’s hard to imagine Rohan still learning how to draw, now that he’s a master at the craft, but he figures Rohan Kishibe is a human being who, although he certainly had inherent talent, got where he is now through hours and hours and hours of practice. Koichi doesn’t think he could ever reach him, but that’s because he doesn’t have the dedication to even try.
“It’s okay,” Koichi says, trying not to smirk when Rohan bristles.
“Just ‘okay’?” asks Rohan, narrowing his eyes. “My art, ‘okay’?”
“Yeah, ‘okay’. Maybe you need a little more experience with the subject.” Koichi pulls the bedcovers back, so there’s no chance of him being misunderstood. “I’d be happy to help with that, if it’s for art.”
Rohan considers this, gives one last look to his sketchpad while he makes up his mind, then climbs back into bed with him, all of his irritation gone. “You make a convincing argument, Koichi.”
Koichi just smiles before leaning in to start with that art practice.
If there is anything good to be said for Rohan and romance, and there is very little, it’s that he doesn’t go halfway about things once his interest has been piqued. Once he’s decided to kiss Koichi, he kisses him breathless, lips and tongue in perfect tandem. He tugs on Koichi’s bottom lip with his teeth briefly before going back into another kiss.
Koichi doesn’t think of himself as a bad kisser: he tries, gives it everything he’s got, and the pleased hum coming from Rohan suggests that he’s doing something right. He doesn’t have much previous experience, but judging by his personality, he suspects Rohan doesn’t either. It’s alright if they bump noses once in a while. They’ll just laugh about it.
Rohan kisses him until he’s red in the face and it doesn’t matter for either of them that they just had sex. Koichi wraps his arms around Rohan’s back and pulls him flush against him, and for a while there isn’t very much talking at all save for each other’s names breathed out and moaned encouragement from both of them.
This is much better than just watching Rohan draw.
