Genre: Fluff

Summary: Oda learns that Dazai snores.
Notes: What is the fluff equivalent of a PWP, because that's what this is.
The first night Oda sleeps next to Dazai, he’s surprised to learn that Dazai snores.
There wasn’t any sex involved. All it took was a very drunk Dazai insisting that Oda come home with him, Oda obliging just to make sure that Dazai got home okay, and Dazai tugging Oda into bed with him and almost immediately passing out. Soon after, Dazai’s snoring reached Oda’s ears.
Now that he thinks about it, it doesn’t seem so strange. Alcohol abuse can cause throat issues, and he knows how much Dazai drinks, far beyond a healthy amount. Besides that, Dazai sleeps flat on his back so as not to waste a second having to roll over if he’s woken up by a potential threat in the middle of the night. A lot of people who expect a chance of being attacked during the night sleep on their back, and a lot of them snore.
Oda has plenty of time to think about this, because he’s a light sleeper, and Dazai’s snoring makes it hard for him to get any rest. He could get up and sleep on the couch, and he could probably sleep there just fine. That’s probably the better idea if he wants to make sure to get any sleep tonight without stealing some of Dazai’s medications.
All it takes is the thought of Dazai waking up to an empty bed, finding no one where he expected Oda to be and wondering if Oda had left in the night - no, he would assume that Oda left, like so many other people would and have - and Oda dismisses the idea of going anywhere. Dazai might not remember bringing Oda home last night under the haze of alcohol, but it isn’t worth the risk of Oda’s disappearance hurting him for even a second.
If Oda can’t sleep here, he’ll just stay awake the entire night. One night without sleep won’t kill him. If he gets an assignment the next morning, he can make up for the lost sleep with coffee, at least enough to get his work done before he crashes in his own bed.
Oda isn’t sure exactly how long it takes for him to fall asleep, but he wakes up to sunlight peeking through the blinds and Dazai’s arms around him. He’d rolled over sometime during the night to better snuggle with Oda, and Oda had wrapped his arms around Dazai in return without stirring even for a moment. Their bodies gravitated towards each other without their minds being involved.
Now that he thinks about it, that doesn’t seem strange at all.
Dazai is smiling, sleeping peacefully and silently. Oda presses a soft kiss to his forehead, and Dazai sighs but doesn’t open his eyes. His hold on Oda tightens just slightly, and Oda smiles as he rests his head on the pillow again.
He still can’t get out of bed before Dazai does, so he has to stay here and keep cuddling with him.
How could he possibly mind?
