Atsushi hadn’t expected anything in particular from Kyouka for his birthday. Flowers, perhaps. Something cute with a tiger on it. Maybe something with a tiger and a rabbit, if his boyfriend wanted to be extra sentimental. That would be enough to make Atsushi happy without too much effort on Kyouka’s part.

So when he finds a note in his room asking him to shower thoroughly before visiting Kyouka later that night, he has to read the note a second time to make sure he isn’t seeing things.

The limit of Atsushi and Kyouka’s intimate skin to skin contact has been kissing. Kyouka keeps extra mouthwash in Atsushi’s bathroom and Atsushi pretends not to notice. He’s happy enough that Kyouka is comfortable doing that with him, no matter what Kyouka needs to make himself comfortable.

Atsushi swallows around the lump in his throat. “Can I…?”
