The fishing trip goes well, if Taigong Wang says so himself. Neither of them catch any fish, but he was able to properly instruct Ritsuka on her technique, and they while some time away together. No interruptions, no cares in the world.

But all good things must end eventually, especially when Ritsuka must have other chocolates to give out. Reluctantly, after an hour he returns the two of them to the library.

"So? How was it? Not bad for an impromptu gift, right?" he asks.

"It was really nice," Ritsuka says with a tiny smile. "But, Shang?"

Oh, switching from the title to the birth name. She definitely liked it. "Hm?"

She takes a hold of the lapels of his coat and leans up to press her mouth to his. It's a quick kiss, almost gentle, but when she pulls back he's still left staring at her with wide eyes and a slack jaw.

"If you ever want to try something else we can do alone, in a special place just for us, you know where to find me."

With that she leaves, and Taigong lightly touches his lips with his fingertips.

"…Maybe I teased her a little too much…"
