Midori is never self-conscious around Amane, and this Amane wonders at. She is too used to being the maiden of Shomonokai, always treated with respect; Midori never disrespects her, but she treats her as she would any other person that happened to be her girlfriend. She's bubbly, constantly full of energy and affection.
This is probably why Amane enjoys the experience of dating her so much. She dresses in jeans and sweatshirts that are as much a costume as Midori's cosplays, and together they go to karaoke bars and all-you-can-eat buffets and everywhere that Amane has never been. Midori giggles and dots cheap ice cream on her nose, and Amane pretends to be offended when she wipes it off.
They sneak quick kisses behind trees and longer ones in empty rooms. Amane has learned how to act with all the dignity of the Shomonokai's maiden when discovered with her hands up Midori's skirt, which has happened more than once. It is a mercy that Remiel has left her.
When asked about her, Amane finds that Midori is almost impossible to describe as anything but 'Midori'. So she simply says that the ways of love are ineffable to human beings, and that seems to be enough.
