(Hey, Hey, You, You) I Don't Like
Title: (Hey, Hey, You, You) I Don't Like
Fandom: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable
Character(s): Koichi, Yukako, Rohan, Jotaro
Pairing(s): Rohan/Koichi/Yukako
Genre: General
Word Count: 710
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Summary: Koichi's used to them having arguments, but not ones this bad.
Notes: Such an unhealthy OT3.
Saying that Yukako and Rohan argue is like saying that water is wet, or that Josuke gets a little bit peeved when someone makes fun of his hairstyle. Yukako and Rohan argue constantly, over Koichi or whatever gives them the slightest cause.
Koichi’s used to that. He tries to calm them down when he can, but he’s not usually successful.
What he isn’t used to is their arguments becoming this intense, them screaming at each other over - what it’s about isn’t important any longer, only that they will not stop no matter how much Koichi tries to get their attention. After a few failed attempts at stopping them before it ends in violence, Koichi decides to leave, hoping that maybe one of them will notice his disappearance and be more concerned with that than punching the other’s face in.
He’s not wrong, but it takes until they’re both exhausted from a drawn-out fight anyway for them to realize that he left ages ago. The logical assumption would to be that he went home.
Rohan rubs the marks on his neck left by hair trying to strangle him and demands that Yukako get out of his house. Yukako is only too happy to oblige.
The next day is the start of the weekend. Rohan gets a phone call early in the morning, grumbles about the nerve of people calling before breakfast, and lets it go to voice mail.
It’s Koichi’s mother on the line. She hasn’t seen Koichi since he went to Rohan’s house the previous day, and she’s worried.
Rohan’s suspicions immediately go to Yukako, but when he calls her up, she says she hasn’t seen him either. She sounds honest - she was never a very good liar, that’s not one of her many faults. Rohan quickly makes a plan.
Even for Koichi’s sake, if he doesn’t have to go to Josuke’s house he doesn’t want to, so he’ll check Okuyasu’s and she’ll do Josuke’s. He doesn’t phrase it like a request, and she huffs but agrees to visit.
Neither pan out. Okuyasu isn’t home, so Rohan just breaks in and searches the house himself, but sees no sign of Koichi’s presence. He meets Yukako coming on the way back, who shakes her head and says that Josuke hadn’t heard from him either, and she checked his whole house.
They brainstorm, wandering around the town for places he might be hiding. The idea that an enemy Stand user might be behind this is brought up and considered. They don’t have any leads until they pass by the hotel and Rohan stops.
He asks if she knows Jotaro’s room number. Yukako doesn’t, but makes a quick call and gets it off of Josuke. For if he might know anything about Koichi’s whereabouts, not so Rohan can bother him later, she swears.
Jotaro answers the door almost as soon as they knock. He’s blocking the doorway with his body, so they can’t really see inside.
Koichi’s gone missing, they say, have you heard anything?
Jotaro nods.
And you didn’t tell anybody else? Yukako asks. Why the hell not?!
Jotaro shifts to one side briefly. Koichi is visible, napping on his hotel room’s couch. Before either of them can get into the room, he blocks the way again.
He didn’t want you two to know where he was, he says. That’s not something you should have to say about your significant others.
Rohan folds his arms and asks if they can speak to him themselves.
No, Jotaro says, and shuts the door on them.
The two of them look at each other, at the door that separates them from Koichi, at each other again.
Do you think we could camp out with just the food from the lobby, says Yukako.
You’d need to at least buy something from the restaurant, says Rohan, and two sleeping bags if it’s for the long term.
Jotaro opens the door again, Star Platinum beside him. Get out, he says.
Rohan can’t draw faster than Jotaro can stop time and punch his face in. He backs off, Yukako following shortly behind.
Koichi will come around eventually, and everything will go back to normal. Maybe they’re supposed to learn something from this experience.
...But probably they won’t.
