Forget Disney World. In Satanick’s esteemed opinion, Tosatsu Kingdom is the cutest place he’s ever visited.

That the rabbits there show sharp teeth when provoked is of no consequence. They’re bunnies. Adorable bunnies that Satanick wants to pick up and squeeze, each and every one of them.

And of all the cute bunnies in this palace, surely the cutest is the princess.

She’s talking with her father. “So you met him using your computer?” she asks, dubious. Apparently the technology isn’t widespread in this world.

“Oh, yes!” replies Artamos. “After such riveting conversations and a friendship blossoming between us, I simply had to invite him to our home for a visit!”

Princess Tosatsu still looks unsure, so Satanick pipes in. “Your father and I are good friends! Even though we hadn’t met in person until now. It doesn’t matter at all in this day and age.”

The princess folds her arms. “I still don’t trust you.”

“Don’t trust me?” He tilts his head. That’s upsetting: he’d like to get along well with her. “Weren’t you satisfied by the demons you hired?”

“Well… They did do their jobs, but…” Her glare intensifies. “That’s a different thing! It’s not because you’re a demon, it’s because you’re supposedly friends with my father even though you’ve never met. You could have been lying to him about everything up until now.”

Satanick chuckles and turns back to Artamos. “Ah, your daughter’s smart as well as cute, Artamos~”

“Indeed, my princess is the most wonderful girl in the kingdom- nay, in this world!” says Artamos, ignoring how Princess Tosatsu splutters.

Satanick grins. “All fathers say so. But your daughter is adorable-”

“Stop talking about me like I’m not in the room! Stop calling me cute!!” She stomps her feet until Satanick turns back to her.

“Well, what would you prefer to be called?” he asks.

Her answer is instant. “Fearsome and mighty.” She stares at him as he bursts into laughter. “What, that’s not funny! Why are you laughing?!”

“You’re not fearsome to me at all,” he says, smiling even wider at her with his sharp teeth. “But that you want to be called that is very, very cute~”

“I’m not cute…” She sulks.

“You’re very cute, exactly the kind of person I’d like to date,” he says, and easily steps out of the way when she tries to stab him in the face. “That’s overreacting.”

“You’re old! And weird! And creepy!” she says, and hides behind Artamos. “Daaaad, make him go away!”

“Well, you are old,” says Artamos. “And a bit weird…”

“Devils don’t think about things like that, or otherwise we’d only be able to date other Devils.” He shrugs. “But I understand if I don’t have your parental permission.”

“You don’t have my permission!” says Princess Tosatsu.

Artamos sighs. “If you upset my daughter, I’m afraid I’ll have to break off our friendship.”

“Oh, if you insist,” says Satanick.

Even though she’s the cutest rabbit girl Satanick has ever seen, he knows a hopeless chase when he sees one.
