Summoned authors are reflections of their works as much as they are reflections of the living humans who wrote them. If Kenji didn't write "The Night on the Galactic Railroad", he would've manifested as an adult. In the same way, without his works' themes of dualism, Atsushi would have been called as one person.

Maybe that would have been easier, knowing himself as well as anyone can be said to know themselves.

But if Atsushi hadn't written exactly what he wrote, he wouldn't be any Atsushi at all.
