Across from Evangeline, her own face smiles vacantly at her. "Love you. Love you."

"I love you too, Nothing There, that's not the problem." Nothing There is a sweetheart, in a certain sense of the word that does not leave this book. "I know you try really hard to look like humans, and you're doing a great job. It's just that human looks aren't really what I'm interested in, personally?"

Nothing There tilts its head.

"You're way hotter when you're all red and twice my height. Definitely cuter than my face could ever be." She doesn't think of herself as ugly, but she's certainly nothing special in comparsion to an Abnormality. "So do you think you could change shapes for me?"

It thinks this over for a minute before saying, "Shell… thank you. Thank you, for shell."
