After the Singularity is resolved, all the medical checkups completed and the mission reports turned in, Roman retires to his room for the night.

Asclepius is sitting in bed, combing his hair out when the door opens. "Good work today, Doctor."

"I didn't do much. It's all Ritsuka, really." They've had this conversation before and it never goes anywhere, which is why Asclepius only acknowledges his words with a hum. Roman settles down next to Asclepius, leaning into his side.

After the Singularity is finished and their patients are safe, nothing is more precious than a quiet moment to rest.
