Yuzu bothers Naoya far more than she has any right to.
She's just a normal girl. Poorly equipped to deal with the lockdown, to handle demons, to take the pressure. She would be like any other demon tamer if she were not Kazuya's friend. Instead she is a distraction. A problem.
He has met so many other human beings exactly like her, humans that he cannot recall the names and faces of because they were utterly unimportant. By pure circumstance, this one matters. That irritates him.
Whenever he runs into Kazuya's group, he deliberately avoids her gaze. He'll focus on his cousin, of course, and Atsuro when he says something intelligent. Never her. It has been a long time since he stopped caring about the fate of ordinary humans and he has no intention of starting again any time soon.
